A collaboration of Quantic & Colombian producer Mario Galeano with legendary Colombian big band leader/arranger/conductor Juancho Vargas; 'Noche de Amor' is the third release on Selva.

The original song was improvised and recorded at the legendary (now closed) Discos Fuentes studio in Medellin during sessions for the 'Ondatropica' album ("This must have been a great party" The Guardian ★★★★), released on Soundway in 2012.

Juancho had heard about the Ondatropica sessions taking place and had recently come back from hospital for the recording.

'Ondatropica' brought together an all-star Colombian cast with legendary figures joining a group of younger musicians. Will kept the original studio tapes for 'Noche de Amor' and cut the track at Selva many years later. The 7" splits the track over two sides with the digital release playing out the full seven and a half minutes of tropical piano brilliance.

Selva is Quantic’s recording home, built and conceived by Will and his partner Aziza Ali in Brooklyn, New York. They conceptualized a recording space and studio with ample natural light, the wooden-furnished grandeur of yesteryear studios, and spacious enough to house Will’s vast collections of vintage recording equipment, instruments and records. Selva also operates as a production facility, where writing, recording, mixing and vinyl mastering takes place daily. Releasing records on Selva, all made in this unique analogue recording environment, was a natural evolution. The focus of the label will be to release several new Quantic produced projects as well as new exciting collaborations with other recording artists
